Paul Briggs, CRE, is the Founder and Head of Research & Investment Strategy at Briggs Advisors, an independent real estate research and strategy consulting firm. The firm helps investors and other real estate market participants translate data into actionable insights, investment strategies, and compelling market narratives. Paul brings more than 25 years of experience applying research and analytics to real-world investment decisions across property sectors, strategies, and market cycles.
Prior to founding Briggs Advisors, Paul was Head of Research & Investment Strategies at Roofstock, where he guided the firm’s house view on the single-family rental market and helped develop new investment strategies and products. He was the principal author of several widely read thought leadership pieces on SFR and build-to-rent, supporting both capital formation and broader industry understanding of the sector.
Previously, Paul spent over a decade at BentallGreenOak (BGO) as a Managing Director and Head of U.S. Research, where he played a key role in shaping investment strategy across a large institutional platform. He was a voting member of multiple investment committees and worked closely with portfolio managers and acquisition teams to align market views with portfolio positioning. He also led the development of data-driven tools and helped build the firm’s data science capabilities, including predictive machine-learning models, to enhance market and location selection.
Earlier in his career, Paul held roles at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, JPI, and Property & Portfolio Research (PPR), where he advised on market conditions, investment strategy, and risk. His work has consistently emphasized data-driven investment and portfolio management frameworks spanning a broad spectrum of property sectors.
